Mashouf Wellness Center | Water Conservation

Diagram of the water conservation system of water circulation from storage filtration system to site irrigation. Back wash from the pool and gray water from showers and lavatories is captured and processed to provide 100% of the non-portable water needed for flushing all toilets and site irrigation.

We anticipate recovering:

  • 10,000 gallons per week from pool filter backwash
  •  4,700 gallons per week from shower and lavatory fixtures

Our anticipated reclaimed water demands are:

  • 8,000 gallons per week for toilet and urinal flushing
  • 6,000 average gallons per week for irrigation

Estimated potable water saved annually: 334,000 gallons per year

We will likely be maintaining a residual chlorine concentration in the treated water storage tank similar to municipal potable water: about 0.5ppm

Grey water will contain minute amounts of soap and other components which will create slightly alkaline water.
